For the second year in a row, Skeppshults Gjuteri AB is nominated by E.ON to the E PRIZE.
Our effort to be able to mark our products with the label "BIO ECO controlled", is the foundation to that we have been nominated also 2010. Naturally we are proud that we are nominated to E.ON and the magazine Veckans Affärer, energy prize E PRIZE. The prize goes to the companies that according to their size and their circumstances in the most innovative, business creation and effective way, worked with their energy use. As a part of our efforts to offering consumer environmental friendly products, Skeppshult uses windpower to 100%. Rebuilding for the recovery of waste heat and recycling of casting sand(96.5%), are two other very significant example of our active environmental work. As the only producer in northern Europe of household products in cast iron, gives no long-distance transports. This contributes very positively to our products, extremely low load values and hence large energy savings.
