Apple doughnuts
Doughnut pan no. 0001
Ingredients:
1 egg
3 tsb of sugar
25 g of melted butter or margarine
1/2 dl of cream
1/2 dl of milk
1 3/4 dl of flour
1 tsp of baking powder
Filling:
1 small sourish apple
1 tsp of sugar
1/2 - 1 tsp of cinnamon
Sugar to roll the doughnuts in
Preparation:
Start with the filling. Peel, remove the pips and cut the apple into thin slices and coat them over in the sugar mixed with cinnamon. Heat the doughnut iron slowly. Whisk eggs and sugar until the mixture is puffy. Add the butter mixed with the cream and milk and pour the flour mixed with baking powder into the mixture.
Place a dollop of butter in every form in the doughnut iron. Place a spoon of mixture in every form and immediately thereafter a slice of apple in the middle of the mixture. Flip the doughnuts using a thin spatula when the edges have begun to set. Total frying time 2 - 3 minutes. Remove the doughnuts and roll them in sugar.
